At drawing up of multilevel lists it is necessary for each item of the list to set its level. Level of item of the multilevel list is defined on its indent. The item having intent less, than the size of one tabulation (within the first tabulation) are considered as top level elements (level 1). The elements having indent less, than the size of two tabulation (within the second tabulation) are considered as item of the second level. The elements having indetn less, than the size of three tabulation (within the third tabulation) are considered as elements of the third level. And so on …

For numbering in hierarchical lists the Arabian digits with points are used. Other types of numbering are not provided. For flat lists all other kinds of numbering set in options (alphabetic, Latin numbers, etc.) are applicable.
Bullet hierarchy uses the set of bullets set in options. For bullet of levels markers in that order in what they are listed in options are used: for a designation of the first level the first bullet from options, for the second level the bullet second for an order is used.
Making hierarchical (multilevel) lists, it is possible to cancel numbering of the most deeply enclosed paragraphs (or lines). The Most deeply enclosed paragraphs usually represent the basic text explaining, opening contents of the numbered elements. This text as a rule does not demand numbering (see Exclude low level option).
